Impact Stories

Blanka

Blanka is the Pioneer of Három Galamb (Three Doves)
who attended a special needs school until the age of 18. She travels 50 kilometers to reach our facility, which is the closest available workplace for her. In order to learn and grow, she needs a safe and clearly structured environment, a steady routine, and staff who know her well.
Blanka is an enthusiastic, life-affirming, and sociable 23-year-old young woman who craves new experiences and observes her peers with deep interest. Thanks to Három Galamb, she is now able to receive the kind of support and stability that allows her to integrate into the group and develop the fundamental social behaviors necessary for participating in a community.
Blanka keeps track of everyone and takes part in shared work with particular joy and pride.

Klau

Klau is a 24-year-old young woman with high emotional intelligence and strong cognitive abilities. However, living with the limitations of a wheelchair has posed many obstacles to her development, learning, and self-expression.
Since the autumn of 2021, Klau has become a valued, respected, and supportive member of the Három Galamb (Three Doves) team. She has made remarkable progress in her manual dexterity, expressiveness, endurance, and in performing tasks necessary for daily independence. We can always count on her outstanding organizational skills, especially when preparing for special events.
In the spring of 2025, we made it possible for her to fly for the first time in her life—with support—and take part in an international program in Spain.

Eni

Eni is 27 years old and has been attending our programs for four years. To quote her parents: “Három Galamb is the best thing that has ever happened in our lives!”
Eni is a young woman who requires continuous attention and supervision. Activity, social interaction, and hands-on work are essential to her well-being. She never had access to an educational program suited to her specific needs. At Három Galamb, she encountered for the first time a structured, consistent developmental program, through which she is continually evolving and receiving daily feedback on her participation.
Her sense of humor and witty remarks have been a vital spark in the team from the very beginning.

Norbi

Norbi is a 28-year-old, energetic young man with a strong desire to learn. His sense of manhood and identity is continuously being shaped through the work he does at Három Galamb.
After a poorly supported experience in an inclusive school setting, he spent six years at home before joining the activities of Három Galamb. Through our individualized program, Norbi has been able to experience himself more realistically as a member of a group. By discovering both his strengths and his limitations, he has begun to unfold his true individual potential.
Feedback from his family also confirms that he has made significant progress in taking on responsibilities at home and becoming more independent.
